Intel announced the most powerful Intel Core i9 processor arrival on laptops at a global event in Beijing. The company unveiled a partial range of high-performance mobile products along with divulging new details on the 8th Gen Intel® Core™ vPro™ platform.
First introduced on desktops only, 8th Gen Intel Core i9 processor is the ultimate internal hardware required to power the laptop and give the highest level output. Setting the new standards for mobile platform performance, Intel proclaims Intel Core i9 processor to provide the best gaming and content creation experience together.
Built on the Coffee Lake platform, the latest 8th Gen Intel Core i9, i7, and i5 processors include the 14nm++ process technology. Over the top, the 8th Gen Intel Core i9-8950HK processor is optimized to overshoot the performance limits of portable devices. The company mentioned it as the first mobile Intel processor with six cores and twelve threads.
The growing dominance of gaming industry, (specifically 3D games and virtual reality games) necessitate laptops to project desktop-like performance. The supreme-performing 8th Gen Intel Core mobile processors’ enables laptops to stream and record without stopping the gameplay and run up to 41 percent more frames per second (fps).
Even the content creation space is widespread and requires a fast-paced processor. The 8th Gen Intel Core processor facilitates creators to work on multiple high processing professional applications together. Moreover, it enables to edit 4K video up to 59 percent faster than the previous generation. Now users can view the smoothest and highest-quality mobile VR and new Windows* Mixed Reality Ultra videos.
Further, Intel has also put up Intel Optane memory across all 8th Gen Intel Core mobile platforms and desktop platforms. The new memory is developed to accelerate the system performance besides increasing the responsiveness of SATA-based storage technology without negotiating on storage limit. The new Data Drive Acceleration feature on the new high performing processor will boost the large secondary HDD data drive. The combined power of Optane memory and Data Drive Acceleration offers up to 4.7 times the game loading and 1.7 times faster media loading.
A new Intel® 300 Series Chipset with integrated Gigabit Wi-Fi added on the 8th Gen Intel Core processor amplifies the internet connectivity by 2 times which is faster than standard 2×2 802.11AC 80 MHz (867 Mbps).
The Intel Core i5+, i7+ and i9+ badges on the new devices are to specify that the purchased product includes Intel Core performance and Intel Optane memory.[embedded content]
