If you’ve still not gotten your hands on a Nintendo Switch, you may be in luck.
Beginning September 8th, the console will be available at Walmart stores bundled with Splatoon 2.
Perhaps more exciting is the fact that this version of the system will feature the neon green and neon pink Joy-Con controllers.
These have been available in other regions but not in the US until now.
The bundle will cost $379.99, so it’s a bit of a premium given a Switch’s $299.99 MSRP and the fact that Splatoon 2 costs $59.99. I suppose you’re paying for the snazzy controllers, and the fact that it’s still incredibly difficult to find a Nintendo Switch these days.
In Japan recently, 3,000 people lined up to get a chance to buy just 105 units at Tokyo retailer Ikebukuro. There’s definitely not equilibrium between supply and demand at this point, which is only good news for Nintendo.
In any case, happy Switch hunting.
