One thing is for certain, and that is that October boasts a month of two massive releases for Bethesda. Joining The Evil Within 2 will be the highly anticipated shooter Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and has brought with it a powerful advertisement to mirror the current political climate in the United States.
As you can see from the tweet below that was sent out by Bethesda, it showcases a group of armored soldiers marching through the streets riddled with Nazi flags, before a bold caption flashes “NOT MY AMERICA.” The tweet also reads, “Make America Nazi-Free Again. #NoMoreNazis #Wolf2.”

Slogans such as “Not My America” were used by civil-rights and other protest groups against the controversial policies of the current US President Donald Trump, particularly based around his reaction to the Charlottesville riots and his implementation of the travel ban.
As for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, this serves as the follow up to Wolfenstein: The New Order, which proved to be a rip-roaring return to form for the legendary FPS franchise. Set in the 1960s, the game continues the narrative of an alternative course of events in history in which the Nazis won World War II and have managed to conquer Europe. Mainstay protagonist and Nazi hunter BJ Blazkowicz continues his mission to this time prevent the German stranglehold over occupied America, in what promises to be another all-out action experience.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is set to launch on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on October 27th.
